Visit Nice With Your Little Ones
Remember this video I posted a few years back with places to visit with young children in the Alpes Maritimes (South of France)? Today, I’ll suggest three places to go to when you visit Nice with young children.
We visited Nice in August, which means it was pretty hot (and a bit cloudy that day). No worries, the weather is (almost) always nice in the South. If you’re going during the winter/autumn, you might avoid bathing in the sea though.
Promenade des Anglais
Built in the mid-19th century, the famous walkway welcomes people from all around the world (not only the English aristocracy). Take a walk, stop every five minutes to take a picture if you wish and jump into the water.
Promenade du Paillon
A 12-hectare park located downtown within a few meters of the ‘Vieille Ville’. Playgrounds for children of several ages, water mirrors and mist sprays.
Colline du château (Castle Hill)
At the top of the hill overlooking the bay of Nice once stood a military citadel. Today it’s a park offering many panoramas and… there’s a playground! The lift is free (there’ll most likely be a queue) or just take the stairs.
In August 2017 Loïs was 5, Daniel 3 and Logan 7 months old.
